Case study

A Holistic Impact and Evaluation Framework built on rigorous academic research and translated into an operational digital platform

The client, a UK social enterprise providing integration support to refugees and migrants, needed a way to evidence its service impact. In response, our founder led the development of a robust social impact evaluation framework that measures the organisation's impact for various stakeholder groups, capturing and legibly demonstrating the social impact and value of its services. This framework was then operationalised into a user-friendly digital platform, embedding impact measurement into the everyday operations of the organisation. In its first application, the impact evidence from the framework supported £109,000 in renewed programme funding from a local authority, further extending the service to around 200 more beneficiaries.

What was delivered

Holistic Impact and Evaluation Framework

A capability-based framework consisting of 148 impact metrics and indicators across seven domains, designed through rigorous academic research and wide stakeholder engagement, including co-design with beneficiary communities.

Digital platform

A user-friendly digital platform that operationalises the framework, tracking short-term outcomes and long-term impact, generating impact reports tailored to programme delivery partners, including funders, commissioners and corporate partners, and providing data to support organisational learning and programme improvement.

Applied across sectors
